if you're even remotely seriously considering the taylor, you should just get the Crowdster from Tom Anderson... yeah you'll initially feel like your totally biting David Crowder's style, but it sounds by far better than any slimline acoustic. The T5 sounds like butts. If not the Crowdster, Gibson's Chet Atkins. I have heard rumors that Gibson no longer makes these so you'd have to find a used one which might cost you. You should really not buy things from Guitar Center... don't tell my brother-in-law I said so... he's a manager of one.

Dude.... you're one step from rock stardom here... don't blow it by buying the Taylor. The Les Paul is a rock standard. Who plays the Les Paul? EVERYONE! Ace Frehley, Joe Perry, Slash... dude... SLASH!!! Who plays a Taylor?....... Well?........ yeah, that's what I thought.

Even if you don't play it (which I know you can... and will) you can just carry it like Elvis and the sheer coolness will have people asking you to sign their.... um... Bibles. Trust me dude. Les Paul all the way. ;-)
