I Got a Golden Ticket!
Aug
2008
Before you get too excited, this is not a celebration of my entrance into Willy Wonka’s Chocolate factory. While it would be nice to have a ticket issued by the “Candy Man,” my golden ticket was issued by “the man.”
I was heading out to pick up lunch and meet my bride for a quick bite and was pulled over doing 52 in a 40 zone; not my finest moment. I was multitasking, trying to take care of details for this weekend and for the upcoming weeks and was on the phone while not exactly using my hands free device.
Fortunately, the officer either didn’t see me on my cell phone or didn’t tack it on to the whole thing, but either way, it was not the highlight of my day. I was speeding. I deserved the ticket, but I was still hoping for a warning that never came.
So now here’s the question; Where do I go for traffic school?

Dude, that sucks. But there’s a ton of online traffic schools and you can get through the entire course in about an hour if you read fast. But you HAVE to read because they imbed random questions in the courseware that you have to answer to prove you actually read the pages. Sneaky buggers.
I went to DrivingUniversity.com.

You should check out the online driving schools. They so easy it’s almost a joke. I’m not sure which ones are OK to use but I seem to recall a list being provided to me when I got a ticket so many years ago. It was annoying to take a class like that, but seriously, all the tests are online and anyone who knows how to browse more than one Web site simultaneously can easily go get the answers for the test WHILE TAKING THE TEST! If you’re into that sort of thing.

Oh and as far as the embedded words thing, I seem to recall that I could easily do a Ctrl-F search for those words … I can’t remember how I did it but I was able to skim the reading material really fast by using basic computer tools.

When your ticket info comes in the mail, it will include a list of approved driving schools including online ones. Or it will send you to their website to browse the list, I can’t remember.
