wait for it…
no, my wife is not pregnant.
It seems that a lot of you are hanging on the edge of your seats…good.
I’ve been back a week and the blog is silent. My bad. I’m working on a video and getting pics uploaded to Flickr. It’s a big job along with getting ready for a new series and Easter. I’ll be working on it this weekend, but for now you can take a look at Dana’s blog and his pics.
While you’re there, wish him a happy birthday!
So today is National Blog Lurkers come out of the closet day. Granted that since I have not posted in a while and that I have now moved this blog around so much that there are probably two of you who read this (thanks Micah and Dana). Still, if you are a lurker. This week is your time to come out of the shadows, even if it’s just to say hi.
okay,
So there have been a ton of blog - worthy things going on and I have just been too swamped to talk about them. So today and tomorrow I will be inundating this site with all of the stuff I should have written about over the last two weeks.
Here’s the first.
I never went to a lot of concerts growing up. For a long time it was just something I thought my parents wouldn’t let me do and then I just didn’t want to spend the money. In the last year, though, we’ve seen all kinds of great shows and October 27th was one of them. Jenn and I (along with Dave and Kimberly MacNeill) saw Little Big Town and Sugarland.
I know what you’re thinking. Those bands hardly sound like face melting rock and roll playing bands, and you’re right. But, these two groups were friggin’ amazing. It’s country music, which I suppose I am a closet fan of and these groups were unbelievable. A ton of energy, amazing harmonies and, even though I couldn’t understand a word of Sugarland lead singer, Jennifer Nettles’ speaking voice, her singing voice is unreal.
So if you’re looking for a great country show to go to, which many of you are not (though it was awesome so back off!) this was the one to see.
I may regreat saying this, but…yeehaw!
